Valentine’s Day Japanese Crafts and Artisan Market

If you are looking for a special way to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, why not visit the Japanese Crafts and Artisan Market on February 4 at 91 E 3rd St in New York? This event will showcase a variety of handmade items inspired by Japanese culture and aesthetics, such as jewelry, accessories, stuffed animals, hats, and bags. You will also have the opportunity to taste some delicious vegan and gluten-free donuts from Tokyo, made with traditional fermented ingredients.

The market is organized by niji-Japanese Artist Pop Up Shop, a group of Japanese artists and creators who want to share their unique works with the world. You can meet the artists in person, learn about their stories and techniques, and find the perfect gift for yourself or your loved ones. The event is free and open to the public and will run from 2 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, February 4.

Some of the featured artists include:

  • Scrap Artisan, who creates teddy bears from kimono fabric and bags from obi sashes
  • Kazaria3, who makes hats and kimono using Japanese fabric
  • Sakura Babies, designs cute stuffed animals based on an alternate world of five elements
  • satokomatsu, who crafts elegant jewelry with influences from Italy, Arabic, and Hebrew

Whether you are a fan of Japanese culture or just curious about the creative scene in New York, you will surely enjoy this event and discover something new and beautiful. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in creativity and culture, and celebrate the season of love with a touch of Japanese elegance!
