PROUD Academy is pleased to host a School Fair courtesy of NSCW and Southern Connecticut State University. Children and families are welcome to take part in fun activities, taste some good food, and enjoy performances and entertainment. We are excited to welcome several guest speakers, including Kai Shappley, a young transgender actress and activist, Erick Russell, Connecticut State Treasurer and first out gay black statewide elected official in the US, and Kevin Jennings, founder of GLSEN national, CEO of Lambda Legal, and the “Anti-Bullying Czar.” We are pleased to have our keynote speaker, Celeste Lecense, co-founder of The Trevor Project and executive director of The Future Perfect Project, join us for this event!
