Exhibition “Traces: Memory, Nature and the Body”

School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents “Traces: Memory, Nature and the Body,” a group exhibition featuring artwork from five artists and alumni of SVA’s Artist Residency programs.

The exhibition “Traces: Memory, Nature, and the Body” showcases the works of various artists, including Kathryn Nova, Rotem Reshef, Juan Villanueva, Melinda Kiefer Santiago, and Cindy Weil. Each artist brings a unique perspective to the intersection of humanity and nature. They highlight how actions, emotions, and memories are intertwined with the natural world.

Using different mediums and artistic techniques, these artists explore various themes such as environmental degradation, conservation, spirituality, and memorialization. They also delve into the fundamental connection between humans and their surroundings.

SVA’s Artist Residencies provide artists, designers, and other creative individuals with the time, space, and support they need to develop their ideas and focus on their creative vision. We offer summer programs on our campus in New York City and year-round programs in online formats.
