About Ben Sutin:

Benjamin Sutin is a New York—based jazz violinist and composer with four albums as a bandleader, including his latest release Mr. Inevitable, featuring Jonathan Blake, Chris Tordini, and Ben Rosenblum. He has performed at premier venues and festivals, including the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, NJPAC, Lincoln Center, BAM, the Apollo Theater, Birdland, Sony Hall, Kings Theatre, and the Kennedy Center. Sutin has been praised by DownBeat, featured on NPR Live Sessions, and recognized by the International Songwriting Competition. He appears on two Grammy-nominated albums with drummer Bobby Sanabria. A 2015 graduate of the Manhattan School of Music with a B.M. in Jazz Violin Performance, he studied under jazz violinist Sara Caswell and now teaches in MSM’s Precollege program. In 2022, Sutin received 3rd prize in the 5th Zbigniew Seifert International Jazz Violin Competition.
