About artists
Clarinetist and bass clarinetist Liora Schlesinger is an avid chamber and orchestral musician whose mission is to connect underperformed works with wider audiences. She is a founding member of Trio Atropos, a clarinet, viola, and piano trio dedicated to exploring repertoire by underrepresented composers. Liora is also a founding member of Delicious Bass, NYC’s premiere (and only!) bass clarinet ensemble.
Schlesinger has performed with orchestras including The Chelsea Symphony, Protestra, and The Village Verein. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Symphony Space. She has also performed internationally in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Israel.
She can be heard on the soundtracks for Leaving (2020) and Yaretzi (2024) and in numerous recordings for NYU’s composition department.
Liora earned her B.M. and M.M. at New York University. Her primary teachers include Pavel Vinnitsky, Yoonah Kim, and Christa Van Alstine.
