Clara Cantore in concert — Serenade for one’s land
Clara Cantore was born in Córdoba, Argentina. She has been traveling the world with a new way of conceiving music rooted in folkloric bass as a solo instrument. Her songs are strongly crossed by the fight for equal opportunities, mainly within the Latin American women’s movement. Although Argentine and Latin American folklore is her first language, the influence of flamenco, tango, and jazz is very noticeable.
In addition to having toured Europe, Japan, the US, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, and Argentina, she has participated in international festivals such as Cosquín in Japan (Fukushima, Japan), Karneval der Kulturen (Berlin, Germany), Barnasants (Barcelona, Spain) Cantares (CDMX, Mexico), Hollywood Forever (Los Angeles, USA).
She has released five albums: “Mentiras Criollas” (2011) with Gonzalo Pereira, “Ser Tiempo” (2013), Calma (2016), co-produced with Raly Barrionuevo, “Entre Algarroba y Durazno” (2020), and the most recent, available on YouTube, “La Música del Vacío” (2022).
