Soprano Felicia Moore in Concert

Felicia Moore, the “lustrous, commanding soprano,” as heralded by The New York Times, will perform at West Side Presbyterian Church on November 27 as part of the 47th season of the West Side Concert Series.

She will perform works by Debussy, Sibelius, Strauss and Wagner, accompanied by acclaimed pianist Craig Ketter, and Scott Brubaker on horn obbligato.

Moore made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera this past season as First Lady in The Magic Flute and returns this season for a revival of Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk and Die Zauberflote. She also has performed with the New Orleans Opera, Opera Maine, San Diego Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Las Vegas Philharmonic and Florida Orchestra, to name just a few.

The powerful, innovative artist was awarded a fellowship by Turn the Spotlight, a foundation created to illuminate the path to a more equitable future in the arts through mentorship by and for exceptional women, people of color and other equity-seeking groups in the arts. Moore is a proud alumna of The Juilliard School, Mannes School of Music and Westminster Choir College.

Fun fact: Moore didn’t grow up listening to classical music or opera. She names Eileen Farrell, Etta James and Led Zeppelin as the top musical inspirations in her life.

Admission to the concert is free. (Donations are appreciated.) Parking is convenient and ample.
