Pegasus Concert Series 3 “Intimate Voices”
Join us in person for DOROT and Pegasus: The Orchestra for a beautiful concert!
Intimate Voices — Cello and Piano
Join Pegasus principal cellist Ari Evan and founder and artistic director Karén Hakobyan, piano, for a deeply expressive program exploring some of the most intimate and lyrical works written for cello and piano. The recital begins with Beethoven’s charming set of variations, full of wit and classical elegance, followed by the refined impressionistic colors of Debussy’s late Sonata. Schumann’s Fantasiestücke bring poetic Romantic imagination to the program, while Bloch’s From Jewish Life offers a deeply personal and soulful reflection on Jewish musical heritage. The program concludes with the passionate Allegro from Franck’s Sonata in A major, a thrilling movement of sweeping lyricism and dramatic interplay between cello and piano.
