Join us for a special performance of storytelling and song from their multidisciplinary offering “otherland” — Including themes of protest, Treya Lam, a composer, interdisciplinary performing and recording artist whose intersecting identities ignite their work, culminating in liberation-oriented songwriting that “perfectly captures the mixture of love, loss and hope” (Smithsonian Magazine).
They are currently recording their sophomore album “Otherland: a sonic altar,” which features Allison Russell, a OneBeat Fellow and Joe’s Pub Working Group resident. Lam has shared stages with Ani DiFranco and Valerie June and has headlined at Lincoln Center and MASS MoCA.
