There can be many confusing messages when it comes to how to support people who are part of ongoing criminal justice processes. Survivors are often denied or delayed access to vital specialist support due to uncertainty around Pre-Trial Therapy guidance.
We have created this short webinar to help introduce you to what Pre-Trial Therapy is, ARCH’s Pre-Trial Therapy Training, and to highlight key points to providing a Pre-Trial response in line with best practice.
No one should be denied access to vital support and this webinar aims to reassure and inform practitioners to be able to provide support to survivors of all ages
ARCH Pre-Trial Therapy Training is based on years of experience of developing and implementing a local protocol, new evidence-based research and key principles from the CPS Pre-Trial Therapy Guidance.
This interactive webinar will:
- Provide an overview of the Pre-Trial Therapy Guidance.
- Identify common myths and barriers to delivering support to survivors.
- Increase confidence in delivering Pre-Trial Therapy.
Who is this webinar for?
- This session is for anyone who may be working with survivors of sexual violence & abuse, from counsellors and therapists, but not limited to social workers, police officers, local authority teams, schools, health practitioners, safeguarding, service leads, mental health supporters and supervisors and for anyone looking to understand more about Pre-Trial Therapy and how to support people effectively .
- Participants must be over 16 years old.
Who will run the webinar?
This session will be led by Kerri Brems, Sexual Violence Counsellor & ARCH Participation and Training Co-Ordinator.
