Webinar “Vaping Prevention and Education Resource Center: New Educator Materials from FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products”

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) has recently launched a comprehensive teacher-focused resource website, Vaping Prevention and Education: Resources for Talking with Students. Attend this edWebinar to learn about this new website which offers a robust collection of science-based, standards-mapped classroom resources to provide educators with the tools they need to effectively teach vaping prevention among middle and high school students.

See these new cross-curricular resources that include lesson plans, interactive tools, infographics, and videos with tobacco facts and tips about how to teach teens about the dangers of e-cigarette use. Discover how these resources can be used to start an open discussion about vaping nicotine with students and encourage them to embrace a lifetime of healthy behaviors. Hear from Kathleen Crosby, FDA CTP Director, Office of Health Communication and Education, and Ashley Roberts, FDA CTP Supervisory Health Communications Specialist, as they provide background on the FDA’s formative research used in developing this resource center, as well as how to navigate the new website and where to find these key resources.

This edWebinar will be of interest to middle and high school teachers, librarians, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
