Webinar “Media Literacy and Civic Learning Activities to Promote Student Agency”

The ubiquity of media and technology in our lives has come with far-reaching implications: a culture of cynicism, disagreement over facts, increased incivility, and a rise in hate speech. Despite these challenges, we also have a generation of young people who are energized to be more civically engaged and eager to leverage the power of technology for good.

Join Daniel Vargas Campos, Program Manager at Common Sense Education, to learn more about the deep relationship between media literacy and civic learning and how you can help strengthen your students’ digital civic agency. In this edWebinar, we will go over our refreshed News and Media Literacy Resource Center, discuss how media literacy evolves across grades K-12, and explore our brand-new Civics in Digital Life activities for high school students.

This edWebinar will be of interest to middle and high school teachers. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
