Engineering Webinar “Optimising an Existing Steam System”
Hosted by Projex Solutions Ltd and delivered by Spirax Sarco UK Ltd, this is the penultimate in a series of eight CPD lectures being held weekly over two months, covering the applications of “steam” in current industrial uses.
This series is being run in partnership with the University of Huddersfield and synchronizes with this year’s engineering undergraduate intake.
This lecture covers the energy content of steam, along with comparisons to LTHW; how to use steam efficiently for heat transfer; key heat transfer calculations; energy and control comparisons with other solutions; condensate management and its role in energy recovery; overall system efficiency and monitoring; the role of steam with various heat sources; and how to optimize/increase energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
The webinar will be hosted on MS Teams.
