We invite you to join us for the third of Dementia Australia’s free 2023 webinar series. This series explores a range of topics around how to transform dementia practice.

Intimacy and sexuality are fundamental human experiences. A diagnosis of dementia can impact the way a person is supported to express these needs. This webinar, of value for individuals across all levels of residential aged care, will discuss the importance of enabling intimacy and sexual expression for people living with dementia living in residential aged care.

The Centre for Dementia Learning’s Consultancy Lead Garrie O’Toole will be joined by a Dementia Australia facilitator and a person with lived experience.

By attending this webinar, participants can expect to:

• Understand the importance of intimacy and sexual expression in our lives
• Identify challenges people living with dementia can experience with sexual expression
• Explain the role of aged care providers in supporting sexuality and intimacy

What you will need: A laptop, tablet, or device with internet connectivity and audio.

How it will work: This is a live, online event. The speakers will appear on screen, but registered members of the audience will not. Registered participants will be sent a link to the webinar two days before the event. If more than one person from the same organization is attending, they will be able to share a viewing device.
