Published: April 11, 2023; Author: Julia Sonrisa

 April 17, 2023    01:00 PM-02:00 PM EDT
Webinar “Key Beliefs and Nonnegotiables of Differentiated Instruction”

Attend this interactive edWebinar to explore the principles and beliefs that are foundational to a differentiated classroom. Specifically, by the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the key elements and structures of differentiated instruction
  • Analyze the difference between what differentiation is and is not
  • Explain the key beliefs and nonnegotiables that underlie the philosophy of differentiated instruction

We will use specific examples from The Achievery, a FREE digital learning platform created by AT&T designed to help connect students to a new world of digital learning through stories that spark curiosity and content that entertains and teaches. The platform features clips from some of the most popular, well-loved movies, TV shows, and cartoons from Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network, paired with lessons and learning activities that students can engage with wherever they are — at home, in the community, and in the classroom.

This edWebinar will be of interest to K-12 teachers and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

Dr. Carbaugh holds a Doctor of Philosophy in educational psychology from the University of Virginia, a master’s degree in education from the University of Mary Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts in government and economics from the University of Virginia.
