Are you looking for new ways to turn your math classroom into a safe shared learning space? Attend this edWebinar to learn how to lean into students’ natural curiosity and their desire to work together with strategies that motivate student engagement and drive productive peer-to-peer math conversations.

You’ll hear from an expert in active teaching modalities and inspiring math learning. If you are looking for ways to help your students ooze confidence, develop problem-solving acumen, and build grit, all while achieving their mathematics milestones, this session is for you.

This edWebinar will be of interest to grades three to eight math teachers, those involved in math curricula, and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

About the Presenter

Franz Schlindwein is a former High School Head of Math from Derry City in the North of Ireland. He taught math, physics, and chemistry for more than 20 years and now works as a math trainer as well as the founder of his own math resource company. He works with elementary, middle, and high school teachers across the island of Ireland and the UK. His award-winning math resource, IZAK9, is used by more than 70% of elementary/middle schools in Northern Ireland and has been voted the best resource available for the teaching and learning of primary/elementary maths in the UK. As a Maths Week Ireland partner, Franz designs and facilitates workshops and online math events for students and adults as part of a national initiative to raise the public profile of mathematics. Maths Week Ireland is the largest event of its kind in the world with more than 300,000 people participating annually.
