Webinar “Supporting Literacy for Students with Dyslexia and Developmental Language Disorder: Understanding for All”

Students come to the classroom with different needs. Some students require no additional instructional support from teachers when learning to read, while others need scaffolding and differentiation to master decoding and comprehension skills. For those students with learning disabilities like dyslexia and developmental language disorder (DLD), teachers’ understanding of how these students’ brains process information is vital for effective learning.

When teachers have the knowledge and resources to help these students learn how to decode the written word and understand spoken language, their students can access literacy. During this edWebinar, attendees will learn about these learning disabilities, how to identify signs that students may have them, and gain actionable skills they can use in the classroom to support their students with dyslexia and DLD. Join John Bennetts as he unpacks learning disabilities in the classroom and how to best support students.

This edWebinar will interest teachers, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders of all grade levels. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
