Webinar “Encouraging Math Success for Students at All Language Levels”

How do we promote success in mathematics for language learners? In this edWebinar, Nigel Nisbet, VP of Content Creation at MIND Research Institute, will walk through the neuroscience research around how our brains learn and how a visual approach can give students (regardless of language) immediate access to problem solving, building conceptual understanding, and building self-beliefs in mathematics.

Rocío Trejo, Bilingual Curriculum Specialist at Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), builds on this to share practices that have strengthened content and language learning for students in the MPS bilingual program. See her classroom data on the noteworthy results, and how MPS is scaling to promote academic success for bilingual program students. Attendees will gain insight on the neuroscience research and spark ideas on how to apply this approach in their classrooms, schools, or districts.

This edWebinar will be of interest to PreK-8 math coaches, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
