Making Art Inspired by James Baldwin & the Guggenheim Museum

We welcome you to experience the Words Matter: Making Art Inspired by Baldwin and the Guggenheim Museum! Join us at Macomb’s Bridge Library in celebration of James Baldwin’s 100th birthday, join educators from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in a 90-minute workshop exploring the power of words and their visual expression. Through hands-on artmaking activities, we will learn about artwork currently on view at the Museum and how artists have created visual art inspired by poetry, music, and literature.

Space is limited. Registration is recommended. Register above with your email address. Walkups will be permitted as space accommodates.

*As a special treat, all in-person attendees will receive a free copy of a James Baldwin book.
