“Thoroughly Modern Millie” follows the adventures of Millie Dillmount, a vivacious and ambitious young woman who arrives in New York City in the roaring 1920s. She’s determined to embrace the flapper lifestyle and marry a wealthy man, setting her sights on her boss at the Sincere Trust Insurance Company. However, Millie’s plan is complicated by the arrival of Dorothy Brown, a charming young actress who becomes her best friend, and the charming paper clip salesman, Jimmy Smith, who challenges her materialistic values.
