Lunar New Year Comics Fest
The event featured a variety of activities, such as:
- A panel discussion with Amy Chu and E.J. Su, the creators of the new Marvel Infinity Comic Mighty Marvel Holiday Special — Year of the Wong, a humorous and action-packed story featuring Wong, the loyal sidekick of Doctor Strange, as he tries to save the Lunar New Year from a mystical threat.
- A signing session with Joseph Illidge and Chriss Cross, the writer and artist of the sci-fi thriller Winterfields, a comic about a young girl who discovers a hidden world of magic and danger beneath the snow-covered fields of her hometown.
- A workshop on illustrative neon with Dani Kaes and Jacob Wilcox, two talented neon artists who taught the attendees how to create their glowing artworks using glass tubes and gas.
- A cosplay contest with prizes for the best costumes inspired by comics, movies, or video games.
- A raffle with a chance to win comic books, merchandise, and gift cards from local businesses.
