Opening Reception “The Red Envelope Show”
Join us as we celebrate the opening of our Lunar New Year art exhibition!
In its 11th year, the Red Envelope Show features artists from across the country and their interpretations of that integral Lunar New Year tradition, the red envelope. Albert Chau, the show’s curator, hands out the same envelope to the artists (about 100 this year) but all are encouraged to create their own vision. Some celebrate the artists’ personal loves, such as cats, favorite foods, and space exploration, but most center on this year’s Chinese zodiac animal, the horse.
