Exhibition “Another Part of Me”
Join us at the W83 Ministry Center for a special opportunity to explore the many dimensions of self, connection, and creativity through a vibrant collection of drawings, paintings, and fiber art by the Fisher Center Artists. Based in East Harlem, the Fisher Center is a day program serving adults with intellectual disabilities. The Center’s weaving program is presented in collaboration with Intertwine Arts, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing freeform weaving to people of all ages. As we welcome the autumn season in New York, we invite you to experience this sensory-rich exhibit that celebrates curiosity, color, and community.
The exhibition will be on view at W83 from Friday, September 19, through Sunday, November 30, and will feature paintings, drawings, and fiber artworks created with the guidance and support of art consultants and teaching artists Jon Bunge and Naomi Lawrence. Drawing on their expertise, talent, and intuition, Jon and Naomi help identify and nurture the unique artistic strengths of each Fisher Center artist.
The AHRC NYC is an organization committed to achieving equity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New York City.
