Exhibition “Charles Chessler: Agreeable Witness”
Charles Chessler is a born and raised Upper West Sider who has been taking photos since 2005. He is a full-time portrait and headshot photographer and has been working on his project, Agreeable Strangers, since 2011. With Agreeable Strangers, Charles asks random people for a two-minute street portrait. It is his way of documenting, witnessing, and celebrating the beautiful diversity of faces he sees wherever he goes. Charles is also passionate about Wildlife Conservation and is proud to be an ambassador with Wild Tomorrow, a wildlife conservation non-profit in South Africa. His show will feature work from both Agreeable Strangers and his time in South Africa.
