The video project “Dissonances” was born out of the discovery of the video archives of Antanas Liutkus, Karolina Paliulis, and Petras Klimas. Stories, photographs, artifacts, moving images, and memories dictated both the name and the form of this project. They are like small islands of memory.
Together with Igne Narbutaite, creating sound and moving images, Ausra Lukosiuniene started exploring the space for this project. It had to be a home, adapted for an exhibition space, where a cup of tea, a conversation, cinema, texts, and smell could all fit.
“What is important for me in the film is the connection between the past and the present,” says Aušra." The moving images connect our moment of existence with the rhythm of our senses".
