TWG celebrates Black History Month with “I Got A Story To Story” exhibition

We are thrilled to present “I Got A Story To Story”, our very first activation of 2025, launching on the first day of Black History Month. Curated by Tanya Weddemire Gallery’s Art Liaison, Tatianna Mack, this exhibition celebrates Black womanhood and the enduring power of storytelling.

This dynamic showcase features the works of four extraordinary Black women artists:

  • Blu Murphy
  • Brittney S. Price
  • Kaylyn Webster
  • Lex Marie

The exhibition highlights a captivating array of mediums, including acrylic on canvas, mixed-media collages, textiles, works on paper, and panels. Through each artist’s unique compositions and thoughtful material selections, stories of love, pride, resilience, and identity unfold and shine.

Curator Tatianna Mack drew inspiration for this exhibition from heartfelt conversations with her maternal grandmother, exploring family legacies and the strength of storytelling passed through generations.

Join us for the opening reception on February 1st at 1:00 PM. Celebrate these remarkable voices and their stories of empowerment, heritage, and creativity.
