About the artists:
Alexis A. Marino @alexismarinoart
Alexis Marino is an artist and illustrator working in her native city, New York. Having always been fascinated by the sights and sounds of her home, she finds inspiration in often overlooked vignettes, working en plein air, and natural shapes. She uses a lot of her references in her large-scale artworks on paper.
Anita Rundles @anitarundles_art
Anita Rundles is an illustrator and educator based in Brooklyn. One of her primary joys in art is drawing from life, often turning live drawings from models into finished art pieces. She loves taking part in Drawing the Dance workshops.
Christine Liu @dittofunkysketch123
Christine ‘ditto funky’ Liu was born in Chinatown, New York City. She received her BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design and worked as an in-house designer for various industries for over 15 years. Her illustrations have been published in Uppercase Magazine, and some have been displayed at the Freelancers Hub Art Showcase. Christine works in New York City, where she sketches at live events or at home with her imagined stories.
Elena Barabashova @barabele
In her recent works, Jersey City-based artist Elena Barabashova explores the human form, the expression of a body, and the story of a face. Using mixed media allows her to keep the drawings spontaneous. Her aim is to reveal the energy and express the movement and personality of the model.
Janet Morgan @janetmorganarts
Janet Morgan has had a long and varied art career, involving painting, public art, dance, environmental work, curation, and children’s books. Lately, she developed and curated the Fearless Watercolor show and co-curated the Salon de Refuses, a 200-artist show of art rejected from the Brooklyn Museum at BWAC in Brooklyn.
Marie Roberts @mariearoberts
Marie Roberts is a painter living and working in NYC. She holds an MFA from Queens College, CUNY, and is a Professor of Art at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was a show painter for the Coney Island Circus Sideshow for 25 years and is currently with The Squidling Brothers Shows.

Drawing inspiration from her surroundings and small details in everyday life, she loves observing, reflecting, and capturing the moment across diverse mediums.
Shireen Soliman @shireendessinesoliman
As a Muslim and Egyptian-American artist, educator, and mother in NYC, Shireen celebrates underrepresented stories through her art, transcending stereotypes. Her illustrations, influenced by her background in fashion design, use watercolor, marker, and pencil to capture the beauty, radiance, and grace of dancers.
Veronika Doljenkova @nycsketchartist
Veronika has been an artist in residence at the Upernavik Art Museum, Greenland, and Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Her illustrations were published in Cell, Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, and Conservation Matters magazine.
