Chinese Cultural Expo for Kids & 2024 Fall Festival Event Annoucement
GCC’s Chinese Culture Expo for Kids aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese traditions while promoting language skills and cultural awareness among young participants.
At the expo, children will have the chance to immerse themselves in the magical world of Chinese mythology by reading the captivating story of “Chang’e Flies to the Moon.” This famous Chinese legend tells the tale of Chang’e, a goddess who ascended to the moon after taking an elixir of immortality. The story is closely linked to the Mid-Autumn Festival, a time when families gather to celebrate unity and give thanks under the full moon. Through this enchanting tale, children will gain a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture, while learning about themes such as love, sacrifice, and the celebration of the harvest season. It’s a wonderful way to introduce the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival to young minds.
