About the Feral Moments

With piercing hues and a marriage of bestial and other-worldly imagery, the exhibition explores the human experience in our current age. Through this selection of paintings, the artist illustrates this biological need to reset and restore our fundamental connection to the earth—perhaps appealing to our feral instincts—and a connection to our spirituality.

Intentionally intimate in scale, Wall’s current series reflects on the subconscious representation of her momentary psychological state. Her trance states, that ideas incubate through light-bearing frenetic sketches in the form of automatism. The process of editing thoughts and emotions creatively is as important as the painting itself. The alchemy of sketch and a fluid transformation of imagery on canvas, evolve into mirages of the mind. Amanda holds an MFA from Pratt Institute and is based in Brooklyn, New York.
