Nicole Marino’s Solo Exhibition
Nicole Marino is an artist, surgical physician assistant, and unicyclist from Queens. She creates surreal medical art; a unique fusion of her background as a surgical physician assistant and her passion for whimsical art. She also loves figure drawing and painting en plein air. Her favorite mediums are paint, pen, pencil, digital art, and clay.
Nicole graduated from St. John’s University’s PA program in 2016 and has been working night shifts in the surgical department since then. Nicole has created art ever since she was a tiny critter but her love for anatomical art began during PA school. She finds inspiration in the operating room at 3 am, on her unicycle, and by accident. She also loves hiking, sketching while traveling, and sleeping 12 hours straight.
Her work can be found on the website and @nicoolers on Instagram. Published work by Nicole can be found in Narrateur, Reflections on Caring, Issue Twelve at The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She self-published her books Nicoolers Atlas of Anatomy on Blurb and Nicoolers Coloring Book of Anatomical Curiosities on Amazon.
