Aneta was born in the Czech Republic (formerly known as Czechoslovakia). She studied psychology and philosophy at Charles University in Prague but left to travel the world and learn English. She decided to go to Australia for a few months and wound up living there for 7 years. With a desire to study design, she moved to New York City.

In 2015 she felt an incredible urge to create something tangible with her hands and with the encouragement of a good friend, she chose to take a course in jewelry making. Her very first studio was Jewelry Arts Inc. in the heart of Manhattan where she was offered an apprenticeship and learned metal smithing. She wanted to learn wax carving and found another studio. It was then she fell in love with working with wax and sculpting.

Jewelry making has always been a passion, In 2018 Aneta Zae jewelry was launched.

Aneta enjoys discovering people and places, interior design, reading, and gemology. She looks forward to pursuing Lapidary shortly.

Aneta is certified as an Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP^®) with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA^®).
