Pre Meta Art Exhibit

Dana Leon known as DAY is a Mexican American artist who discovered art as a coping mechanism to help her deal with medical conditions including Tarlov Cyst Disease and Crohn’s Disease. DAY specializes in UV Reactive Art and Holographic Pointillism and is fascinated by bioluminescent colors and dots, which has led to her admiration for painters George Seurat, Frida Kahlo, and Van Gogh. DAY uses her art to help others find beauty in life despite any struggle.

Joshua V. Palma started his passion for photography at the young age of fourteen and since has developed his skill throughout his four years of High School in a Graphic Design course where he mastered Visual Digital Arts, He has developed experience in the field, working with clients such as the Girls Scout NYC and Homeless With My Louie Bag Web Series.

On June 1st he participated in the 2018 Annual Citywide Graphic Arts Competition and won 3rd place in Digital Photography.

Our non-profit organization, Corazones Felices, is committed to advocating for and spreading awareness about Crohn’s disease, Tarlov cyst disease, drug abuse, child sexual abuse, and other difficult topics through the powerful medium of art. We believe in the transformative power of creativity to educate, inspire, and initiate conversations about these critical issues. Through various art forms such as paintings, illustrations, and designs, we aim to depict the challenges faced by individuals affected by these conditions and societal challenges. By leveraging the universal language of art, we strive to break down stigmas, foster empathy, and encourage proactive dialogue surrounding these often misunderstood and underrepresented topics. Through collaborative efforts with artists, advocates, and volunteers, we aspire to create a more informed and compassionate society that prioritizes the well-being and support of those navigating these challenging circumstances.
