Exhibition “Life’s A Beach”
Orit Fuchs lives and works in Tel Avivâ€, ‬a storyteller with a deepâ€, ‬pure, and unquenchable appetite for artistic self-expressionâ€. ‬Her medium spans the gamut†- ‬sculpturesâ€, ‬paintingâ€, ‬typographyâ€, ‬illustration‒ ‬knittingâ€, ‬photography, and more†- ‬whatever works best to bring her†‬vision to lifeâ€.‬
Having worked as an art director for some of Israel’s top agenciesâ€, ‬Fuchs has a firm grasp on pop culture and gender roles in contemporary societyâ€, ‬which serve as a natural backdrop against which her imagination unfurlsâ€. ‬Her understanding of the human psyche and her fierce talent morph into moving work that takes place somewhere between fiction and realityâ€, ‬capturing glimpses from wondrous perspectivesâ€.‬
The most central theme in her art is the female image and the various forms it can take in modern societyâ€. ‬Her female characters†‬are imbued with the full spectrum of human emotion and state of mindâ€.‬
It’s creative journalismâ€, ‬telling entire stories so many women could relate to with just a single portrait or illustrated momentâ€.‬
