“We all return to the place that it started” Exhibition Opening

We All Return To The Place That It Started is a group exhibition of works that explore themes of memory, identity, personal narratives, and cultural histories. Curated by Silvia Beatriz Abisaab, this show features a selection of works that include drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and a range of visual languages and approaches that offer a diverse and thought-provoking connection to representation and experience. The exhibition aims to demonstrate the wide breadth of formal and thematic explorations of the current major and minor students in the Studio Art program in the Department of Art and Art Professions.

Featured artists: Alaya Shah, Andrei Barrett, Becca Panos, Benji Hsu, Campbell Romano, Candice Lu, Cecilia Crowe, Cynthia Li, Darinka Arones, Ian Kai, Isabella Marques, Jane Liu, Kalia Harunzade, Nick Horcher, Owen Roberts, Rory Jackson, Sarah Gelleny, Yutong Wei, Yuxi Ma.

Silvia Beatriz Abisaab is the Undergraduate Program Administrator for Studio Art at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

This walk-through event is open to the public. For guests outside the NYU community, advance registration is required.

We All Return To The Place That It Started is on view in the Mamdouha Bobst Gallery (located on the first floor of Bobst Library) from July 14 — August 9 during Bobst Library open hours.
