Join us for a Queer Photo Talk moderated by BxArts Factory artists Daniel Aros-Aguilar and Andrea Straker. They will be having a conversation with Dauris Martinez, Katherine Miranda, and Lizzy Alejandro.

This talk is part of the exhibition I See You. This show is a compilation of portraits by photographers that document their communities. This exhibit seeks to reflect what they see through their lens and to share a glimpse of their worlds with you. Exploring a photographer’s choice of background, subject matter and medium is revelatory. Through their photography, we hope you will appreciate their narratives, which endeavor to create a harmonious collage of their subjects and provide a perspective on the people behind the camera as much as those in front of it.

This collaboration between BxArts Factory curator Laura Alvarez and the Montefiore Art Gallery hopes to merge the care of the body with the artistic soul.
