Exhibition “Reimagining the world through ICM”

Intentional Camera Movement, aka ICM, is a hot topic these days, and many photographers do ICM work on an occasional basis or turn to it when they feel there is nothing else to do in a given scene or situation. Stephanie Johnson has taken a more immersive and deliberate approach to ICM photography and employs it as her primary means of photographic expression.

During this talk, in addition to some of the more technical aspects of ICM photography, Stephanie shares her personal philosophy for how ICM enables us to reimagine the world in uniquely individual and creative ways through our imagery. Additionally, she discusses her thoughts about doing the work, which is an essential element for growth, expansion, and artistic evolution. This talk provokes the imagination to think differently about creative photography and inspires you to free yourself from traditional photographic conventions by using the camera in unconventional ways to express yourself more creatively.
