Exhibition “Museum Workers Create”
This is your last chance to see the exhibition “Museum Workers Create”, showcasing museum workers from all over the Tristate area as artists in their own right. The museum professionals exhibited come from a range of well-known institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Storm King, The Museum of Jewish Heritage, and many more. Whether professionally trained or using art as an outlet to express their creativity, these museum professionals share their personal experiences and identity as museum workers through painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art, collage, and ceramics.
You will also see the unique new installation Migrations by artist Rosa Valado. Using sculpted roses, metal, mixed media, and weaving, Valado communicates visually and metaphorically the American Spirit of the 1700s across the centuries to the present time. The exhibition was made possible through partial funding by the Foundation of Contemporary Art Emergency Exhibitions Grant.
