Monica Sartori focuses her production on the expressive force of the forms and the feeling that they emanate. Her main research field is women. She subtly and implicitly shows us their bodies and their volumes, but she also makes us reflect on their role in this society and in contemporary art scenes.

The positive assessment of the feminine tone can be seen in her work, where its marginal character, as well as her ability to easily assume limiting positions, must face the tensions imposed on it by the dominant discourses, thus assuming an attitude of rebellion or disobedience where she questions the hegemonic statutes of culture and history.

The protagonists, women forced to face their own limitations, occupy the center of the scene in versatile creations in which experimentation with different materials is also a preponderant axis in her body of work. In this way, through this investigative identity, she allows herself to work with welding, assembly, carving, and modeling, but also, in her most recent works, she inquires about shapes with epoxy, rubber, plastic, and waste.
