Amy Tenenouser’s Exhibition — New Works on Paper
Gen Brooklyn is pleased to announce its new exhibition, “Amy Tenenouser: New Works on Paper”. The exhibition presents watercolor and acrylic paintings exploring psychological presence, memory, and emotional atmosphere through layered color, experimental mark-making, and shifting compositions. The works operate within a field of ambiguity, with painting functioning as a process of building, obscuring, and reworking.
Amy Tenenouser is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and exhibits her work throughout New York City. Her prints and artist books are held in the collections of institutions including Printed Matter and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh. She is also the founder and publisher of the arts and literary magazine Apocrypha, included in the permanent collection of the Center for Book Arts in New York City.
