A special collaborative event bringing the work of a celebrated American artist to one of New York’s most iconic locations.

New York, NY — Ethan Cohen Gallery and The New Apostle Gallery are delighted to announce a special collaborative event, taking place on Friday, June 12th at 3 World Trade Center. The event will showcase the work of distinguished American artist Frank Hyder, whose painting, sculpture, and installation practice spans more than five decades of uncompromising creative vision.

Frank Hyder is a contemporary painter and sculptor whose work explores themes of identity, culture, color, and transformation across an extraordinarily wide range of media from large-scale oil paintings to woodcuts and public installations. Educated at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the University of Pennsylvania. His work has been exhibited in over 200 group shows and more than 100 solo exhibitions worldwide, with works held in major public collections including the Library of Congress, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Grand Rapids Museum of Art.

This exhibition brings together two organizations united by a shared belief in the power of art to connect people across cultures and generations.

The event forms part of a series hosted by the New Apostle Gallery made possible through the generous philanthropic initiative of Silverstein Properties, which has provided studio space on the 69th floor of 3 World Trade Center to working artists for the past eight years.
