Exhibition “203 / H The Collector”

Please join us at the opening of 203 / H The Collector! After a year of reading The Arcades Project with IATP.

We are pleased to invite you to “203 / H The Collector,” organized by Oorja Garg and Ridwana Rahman with the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program (IATP) at CUE Art Foundation from May 23–29, 2026.

Artists & Researchers: Minnie Black, Yves Cao, Kaela Mei-Chee Chambers, Joseph Issac Cohen, Spencer Everett, Christian Amaya Garcia, Oorja Garg, Mary-Elisabeth Moore, Pegah Pasalar, Sarah Passino, Ridwana Rahman, Rujuta Rao, Lauren Rooney, Miranda Samuels, Soleil Corazón-Libre, Trevor Warren

After a year of moving through Walter Benjamin’s The Arcades Project with IATP, convolute by convolute, this exhibition emerges from questions around collecting, commodities, memory, and the strange lives of objects.

Benjamin returns often to the figure of the collector: one who withdraws things from circulation and reorders them according to intimate logics of assembly. In this gesture, the object is released from economic function and enters narrative life.

The exhibition invites viewers to encounter things not as possessions to be acquired, but as forms carried across contexts, memories, and possible futures.
