Webinar “Building Capacity for Data-Based Decision Making Through Effective School Leadership and Job-Embedded Learning”

While teachers need deep knowledge of instructional practices aligned with the findings from the research, they also must be skilled at using assessment data to inform their instruction and provide effective interventions to students with reading and math difficulties.

School leaders play a critical role in creating a culture of data-based decision-making and empowering teachers to use data to impact future learning outcomes. During this edLeader Panel, you’ll learn about research-based practices to build capacity in your school for data-based decision-making through effective leadership. You will also learn how educational leaders can leverage data-based decision-making as a platform for job-embedded professional learning.

Attend this session to:

  • Explore the systems, structures, and practices that must be in place to enable effective data-based decision making
  • Get tips on how to improve collaborative practices and the collective efficacy of data teams
  • Examine the role of job-embedded professional learning in developing instructional effectiveness through the data-based decision making

Through recorded interviews, you’ll hear from elementary school leaders participating in FAST for Success-Reading, a yearlong professional learning opportunity centered on connecting the Science of Reading to FastBridge assessment data, interventions, and instruction plans. They’ll share how they’ve developed systems and structures for data-based decision-making and teacher leadership.

This edLeader Panel will be of interest to K-8 school and district leaders; professional learning, assessment, MTSS, and RTI coordinators; and school improvement, data management, and data teams. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
