History and Horticulture Walk

Join guides from The Battery Conservancy for an extended walk through the park, with a focus on the history of the area and its current horticultural landscape.

Please arrive 10 minutes early as the tour will begin right on time. Please note that tours will not happen in heavy rain — we will do our best to alert you in advance, but sometimes the forecast changes suddenly! Please reach out if you have questions about the weather forecast and its impact on your reservation.

Sign up: Register to reserve your spot! If tickets are sold out, you can still show up at the time of the event and we’ll do our best to include you, but space is not guaranteed without a reservation.

Where: Meet in front of the SeaGlass Carousel. Look for our tour guide carrying a sign to identify themselves. Please note that the park’s north side is under construction, so you will need to enter the park along State St (this map shows the meeting location in relation to construction projects).

COVID-19 Policy for Events:

  1. We encourage event participants not vaccinated against COVID-19 to please wear a mask while participating in our public programs.
  2. We ask that participants stay home if they feel sick or have had a known COVID-19 exposure in the last 5 days.
