Published: January 27, 2026; Aithor: Julia Sonrisa

When: February 5, 2026

Join JASON Learning to learn more about supporting students in developing the focus, confidence, and persistence need to read complex text.

Building Stamina for Non-fiction Reading with JASON Learning is an educator-focused webinar designed to help teachers support students in developing the focus, confidence, and persistence needed to read complex informational texts. As academic standards increasingly emphasize evidence-based reasoning and content-rich nonfiction, many students struggle to sustain attention and comprehension across longer texts.

This session explores research-based strategies for gradually increasing nonfiction reading stamina while maintaining engagement and understanding. Using high-interest, real-world JASON Learning resources rooted in STEM and problem solving, the webinar models instructional approaches that make nonfiction reading purposeful and relevant. Educators will learn how to scaffold texts, set clear reading goals, integrate discussion and reflection, and monitor student progress over time. Participants will leave with practical, classroom-ready strategies to build strong, confident readers prepared to tackle challenging nonfiction across content areas.

Participants who do not have an active JASON Learning account can earn a 30 day trial subscription by attending this webinar.
