This webinar will explore what is involved in the autism assessment process, with a focus on children and adolescents.
The session will be hosted by our highly experienced Autism clinician Jess Birchall, who is clinically trained in the ADI-R and ADOS assessment tools for autism. Jess is also a specialist teacher qualified in supporting young people with autism in educational settings, and she runs our weekly support group for parents of Autistic children.
She will cover the Autism assessment stages and tools, explaining the process, steps, and experience from both a child and parent perspective. Considerations surrounding the initial decision to assess will also be discussed, with a balanced view of the possible impacts of a diagnosis.
