When facing academic challenges, students often turn to their family support system for guidance. This webinar aims to help parents and family members develop the skills to offer this support, reframe academic anxiety, and view stress as a natural part of growth. Join our panel of administrative experts and student advisors as they provide a fresh perspective on managing stress and share effective coping strategies for dealing with academic pressures. We’ll focus on fostering a supportive, growth-oriented approach to stress, covering key topics such as time management, the differences between high school and college stress, and the role of families in both supporting and contributing to stress. We’ll also address the unique experiences of first-generation students, family expectations, and other sources of pressure. Attendees will learn about campus resources, the importance of seeking help, and strategies for finding mentors. Remember, asking for help is a valuable skill, and acknowledging the need for support only strengthens your path to success.
Participants are encouraged to submit a question to be answered live.
