Following the day training sessions delivered in 2024, this series of 6 one four webinars has been developed to support needs identified by early years practitioners from the feedback gathered.
Each webinar will begin with a short section on enhancing ecosystem knowledge; habitats of East Anglia, twigs, seed heads, leaves, grasses, and water.
Next, we will consider one of these aspects; energy, water, travel, food and food waste, waste and recycling, and paper and print and how they fit with the work of an early years setting. This will be supported by using the UNESCO greening curricula framework, which has 6 aspects; climate science, ecosystems and biodiversity, resilience building, climate justice, post-carbon economies, and sustainable lifestyles.
The series of webinars will support settings to design and produce a Climate Action Plan and consider available formats across the environmental, social,l and economic pillars of sustainability.
