Domestic Violence Webinar Series

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, YWCA Union County is hosting a series of impactful webinars throughout October. The following discussions will be featured:
- October 4: “How to Talk to Your Tween/Teen About Domestic Violence and Healthy Relationships” will focus on identifying red flags that may indicate an unhealthy relationship for teens and strategies for initiating conversations about healthy relationships.
- October 7: “What is a Restraining Order and How Can Someone Get One?” will cover the essentials of restraining orders, including the who, what, where, when, and how of obtaining one to protect against domestic violence.
- October 18: “What to Do If You Suspect a Friend or Loved One Is in an Abusive Relationship” will offer guidance on recognizing signs of abuse and providing effective support to those affected.
- October 21: “DV and Immigration” will address concerns related to domestic violence and immigration status, including what to do if a partner threatens to call ICE and the immigration protections available for domestic violence victims.
These webinars aim to empower participants with knowledge and tools to address and support domestic violence issues effectively.
