English learners need ample opportunities to access, interpret, and produce language through rich content. This edWebinar will engage all attendees in a variety of strategies to support English language learners in developing content knowledge and language across the curriculum. It will provide insights into how to maximize oral language opportunities through quick, daily oral language practices.

About the Presenter

Eugenia Mora-Flores, Ed.D. is Assistant Dean of Teacher Education and Professor of Clinical Education at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. She teaches courses on first- and second-language acquisition, Latino culture, and literacy development for elementary and secondary students. She has written 10 books focusing on literacy and academic language development for English learners. She has partnered with districts across the country in the areas of English language development, academic language development, and writing instruction. She is also the key consultant on Teacher Created Materials’ Language Power, 2nd edition
