Quality math tasks allow students to construct their own learning through a guided-inquiry approach. In this edWebinar, we will discuss the indicators of a quality math task and explore practical strategies to promote math talk in our classrooms. About the Presenter

Cynthia Goodman joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a content specialist in 2015. Cynthia lives near Nashville, Tennessee, and has over 15 years of experience in the field of education. Before joining HMH, she was a classroom teacher and the RTI coordinator for her school district. In addition to teaching in the classroom, Cynthia worked as a professional development coach with the Tennessee Department of Education. Her areas of expertise are enhancing the learning culture within the classroom, STEM and inquiry-based instruction, and differentiated instruction. Cynthia has a Bachelor of Arts in education and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in executive leadership.
